Wednesday, October 14

Two hobby boxes open the week. 2026 Topps Update Series Baseball is the flagship release covering the second half of the baseball season, which is the one most collectors will be watching. Update is the set that absorbs traded players and late call-ups, so it carries the back half of the rookie class.

2026 Topps Neon Marvel also lands Wednesday as a hobby box. It is a neon-treatment Marvel release from Topps, and it is the only entertainment product on the calendar until next week.

Both are standard checkout. If you want both and your budget only covers one, decide before Wednesday rather than during it.

Thursday, October 15

2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1 arrives as a hobby box, covering the current grid in the Chrome format. It is the only release that day, which makes it the easiest one to plan around this week.

Racing products have a narrower audience than flagship baseball, but Chrome F1 has drawn its own following since the license moved to Topps. Treat it as its own chase rather than a filler buy between the baseball drops.

Friday, October 16

The week closes with two more. 2026 Topps Update Series Baseball Retail Box is the retail configuration of Wednesday's flagship, built around traded players, rookies, and season highlights rounding out the set. If you missed the hobby box or just want a cheaper way into the checklist, this is it.

2026 Topps Chrome Baseball Team Samurai Japan Collection Hobby Box is the more unusual release of the day. It is a standalone Chrome product built around Japan's national baseball program, featuring stars from Samurai Japan history and the World Baseball Classic roster. Standalone Chrome releases tied to a single program tend to have a different buyer pool than flagship, so do not assume the demand pattern from Wednesday carries over.

No EQL entries this week

Every release on this week's calendar uses standard checkout. That matters for how you plan your Wednesday through Friday.

With an EQL raffle, you enter during an entry window and wait to be selected to buy at retail price. You are not refreshing anything at launch, and being fast does not help you. Standard checkout is the opposite: the product goes live at a set time and you work the cart and payment page yourself, with no entry period and no selection step in front of it.

So for all five drops October 14 through 16, be ready at launch with your payment details already saved. There is no raffle cushion behind any of them.

Coming up next

Two more releases follow in the week after. 2026 Topps Chrome x Jennie Hobby Box arrives Tuesday, October 20, a first-of-its-kind Topps Chrome release built around solo K-pop artist Jennie Kim and spotlighting career photoshoots and concert looks. Then 2026-27 Topps Basketball Blaster Box lands Friday, October 23, the retail-focused blaster configuration of the flagship basketball set for the new NBA season.

Both are standard checkout as well. We will cover them in detail next Sunday.

Track these on the calendar

You can register interest on any of these releases for free on the PreorderCards release calendar. No payment is collected upfront. It is just a way to keep the dates in front of you so a Wednesday hobby box does not go live while you are looking the other way.

This roundup goes out by email every week. Subscribe here to get it before the drops.
