The week at a glance
Two releases are on the calendar over the next seven days, and both come from Topps. The designer collaboration 2026 Topps x KAWS MLB goes live Monday, September 28. 2026 Topps Chrome Star Wars Hobby Box follows on Wednesday, September 30.
Both are hobby box configurations and both run on standard checkout. That is the detail that should shape how you plan your week.
Monday, September 28: 2026 Topps x KAWS MLB
This is a designer collaboration between Topps and the artist KAWS, using MLB-licensed cards. It is a baseball release by license, but the draw here is the artist tie-in rather than a rookie class, and that tends to pull in buyers who do not usually chase baseball product.
The format is a hobby box and checkout is standard. Be ready at launch rather than assuming stock will sit.
Wednesday, September 30: Topps Chrome Star Wars Hobby
This is the flagship Chrome Star Wars release, covering the saga's films and shows. It is a separate product from the earlier Chrome Galaxy edition, so if you were tracking that one, this is a distinct release and not a restock or a second wave.
Format is a hobby box, checkout is standard. Two days after the KAWS drop is a tight turnaround if you are budgeting for both.
Standard checkout, not EQL
Neither release this week is an EQL raffle. On an EQL drop, you enter your details ahead of the launch and wait to be selected to buy at retail price, which means no refreshing and no race. If you are picked, you get the chance to check out at the listed price.
Standard checkout is the opposite experience. Stock goes live at the posted time and the order is filled on a first-come basis, so you are competing on speed and connection. For both the KAWS MLB drop on Monday and Chrome Star Wars on Wednesday, plan to have your account logged in, your payment method saved, and your shipping address already confirmed before the clock hits.
What is next
There is nothing else on the calendar in the following week. After Wednesday, the schedule is clear, which makes this a reasonable week to spend on the two drops in front of you rather than holding budget back.
Track both for free
You can register interest for either release on the PreorderCards release calendar. It is free, no payment is collected upfront, and it puts the drop on your radar before launch day so you are not finding out after the fact.
